Many people believe life insurance policies are "set it and forget it" but it is actually important to review every few years to make sure you are adequately covered. If you haven't reviewed yours recently, here are four things to consider:
Are your beneficiaries set up the way you want them to be? Bonus: Do you have backup/contingent beneficiaries listed?
For term policies: Is your policy going to end too soon? It's better to address this before the policy comes to its end.
For permanent policies: Is your policy adequately funded? Policies projected to last into your later years, may not be so anymore so it's important to review every couple of years.
Do you have the right amount of life insurance? It's important to make sure you have the correct amount for your life situation.
